"Finally!"  You're all thinking.  "Graham's going to post about college!"

Sorry, folks.  I'm going to post about something that has happened at college, yes, but not about the whole experience so far.

Anyway.

So, about a week and a half ago, between listening to Dr. Horrible and watching Doctor Who (Medical obsession?), I stumbled across the idea of a World Domination club.  It'd be quite epic--dynamic costumes, movies, comic books, TV, all of that good stuff.  I pitched it to some of my friends, and they agreed it was a nifty idea.

Today, after dinner, I saw that somebody had put up posters for a Supervillain Club.  After a bit of comical spazzing "Those bastards!  I came up with it first!" I 'calmed down' and attended.

It was...  I mean, it was okay.  The club founder read from a list of reasons to be a Supervillain that she had found on the internet.  It was based off of comic book movies (Using only the most famous of villains as examples), and the humor was really and truly forced.  (A supervillain's female henchmen's breasts are two sizes larger than the heroine's, for instance).  After that, we started to draw pictures of our supervillian selves.

It was when the Club Founder showed us her Evil Gingerbread Man that I knew I was in the wrong place.

I mean, it's fine to have a sort of humorous club like this.  But play it at least a bit seriously.  My idea was that it'd be really quite melodromatic, in a tongue-in-cheek way.  We'd be in costume, and watch movies/read comic books to analyze the plans, critique them, and eventually form our own.  It'd be fun, and a good way to meet new people.  In this case, it seems like it's a place for people who are already friends to talk and color.

All in all, it's not that they did a bad job.  I just could have done it so much better.

Incidentially, I spent a few minutes beforehand rigging up my iPod stero inside of my trench coat.  I had a song cued up, so this happened:
Person A:  Wouldn't it be awesome if I had a band backing me up wherever I go?
Person 1:  Yeah, like if my life were a musical.  That'd be sweet.
Me:  My life is a musical.  Right now, the song is about if I should kill you all or not.
*laughter*
Speakers:  I can't decide whether you should live or die!

Thing is, I haven't actually seen that much of House--only the stray episode here and there.
